Hey, I'm having problems

Hey, I'm having problems viewing your site in the Chrome browser (the font is extremely tiny). I've tried raising the font size from the settings but that barely helped. Do you have any tips on what I should do? (Oh, and if it helps, I'm on Windows XP) - weight loss tips in hindi

Response to Hey I'm having problems

Hello there,

Here's what our IT Administrator had to say,

"The problem could be:

(1) The default font his computer uses might have been changed from Windows XP default font to another font.
(2) Some installed application might change the browser’s default font

If he could print off his screen shot, that would help me to find out why.

Thanks"

Please let us know if we can help with troubleshooting this issue further.

Thanks,

Grapefruit

Is it ok to eat grapefruit while on HCV meds?

Reply to Grapefruit Comment

Thank you for using AIDS Vancouver as your source for HIV/AIDS (and Hep C) information.

Grapefruit and grapefruit juice can be dangerous to people on certain medications. This is because grapefruit is one of the foods more likely to interfere with over 50 kinds of medications.

HIV / HCV medications

Is it OK to use HIV and HCV medications at the same time?

Response to HIV/HCV Medications

Thank you for using AIDS Vancouver as your source for HIV/AIDS (and Hep C) information.

The short answer to your question is that it depends. Is there a specific question that you have regarding treatment of both at the same time?

Many HIV meds are processed by the liver. Hep C attacks & harms the liver. Sometimes doctors will treat Hep C first.

There is treatment available for both but there are a number of different factors that will determine if it’s the right way to go (how healthy is the liver, CD4 counts…among other issues). How well one might respond to the treatment, also needs to be considered. It needs to be monitored very closely, if it is chosen. Health care professionals that specialize in liver function are often consulted if the doctor does not have a great knowledge base around the liver.

Here is a link to some more information about the subject from CATIE (Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange):

Ultimately, it would be a decision made in consultation with a health care professional.

Please let us know if we can direct you to any further information.

Wishing you good health,
